#Smarterhiphop Submission by Oyinda Taps Empress Of for Interactive Music Video Project

WATCH THE VIDEOS HERE

OYINDA DROPS NEW INTERACTIVE REMIX VIDEO PROJECT

Nigerian-British artist Oyinda announces the release of a special remix video project featuring Empress Of, Ramzoid, and Canteen Killa. The interactive 360 videos were created by Pussykrew and you can view them below or stream the remixes on Spotify HERE.

Never Enough (Empress Of Remix), Flatline (Ramzoid Remix), and Serpentine (Canteen Killa Remix)

"Collaborating with Pussykrew on these visuals has allowed me to translate the tone of each track in such a vivid way. The original songs all have a sense of vulnerability within them that can be misunderstood as "weak" or "complaisant". However, these remixes remove that notion completely. There's not a lot of representation working in this medium either so it was important to me that each sculpt felt monumental; each pose felt determined. That's why I pulled inspiration from Greek Mythology, The Terracotta Army, things I thought represented a timeless sense of power." - Oyinda to MILK

More information below
With the release of her second EP, Restless Minds, Nigerian-British artist Oyinda cements herself as music's shadowy seductress, an antithesis to today's radio-ready pop stars. Dubbed "R&B's best kept secret" by Rolling Stone, Oyinda blurs the boundary of genre with her industrial synth sounds and classical music approach. As an independent producer, singer, songwriter, and director in New York City, Oyinda has created a sonic and visual world that is truly all her own, bringing an unparalleled level of production to her artistry. Look no further than her latest music video, for "Serpentine," made in collaboration with pussykrew, which blends reality with the virtual, elevating her visuals into something cybernetic and otherworldly—two things that seep into her live show. She's been featured by V Magazine, VOGUE, Paper and Interview, FADER, Pigeons&Planes to name a few.

#Smarterhiphop Submission Rock of Heltah Skeltah Connects With D12's Kuniva On "Wishin" | 'Rockness A.P.' Is Now Available for Pre-Order!

Wishin 800

Click here to stream "Wishin" via SoundCloud

For the latest single off his highly anticipated solo debut, Rockness A.P., Hip-Hop veteran Rock (of Heltah Skeltah) connects with Kuniva (of D12) to deliver snarling and slick threats on the menacing "Wishin," produced by Pascal Zumaque.

The two emcees make for an immediately compelling duo, partially because they're both known for their show-stealing verses alongside their affiliated crews. And on "Wishin," they spit venom-filled rhymes at their opposition.

For Rock, that means using his trademark growl to make clever pop-culture references amidst some crazy wordplay (the way he raps "Brownsville, aka the Wish-A-Nia Woods" is hilarious). Kuniva's right there with him, though, as he dubs himself the "hood version of Eddie Haskell" and likens his rhymes to Ice Cube's on Death Certificate.

It's wild to think that Rock has been in the game for more than 20 years—as part of Boot Camp Clik and one half of Heltah Skeltah—but is only just now releasing his debut as a solo artist. But the rapper himself is aware of that, and its title, Rockness A.P., is a reference to his former partner-in-rhyme. The A.P. stands for After Price, a loving nod to the late Sean Price, who sadly passed away in 2015.

"Wishin" is the fourth instant grat track ready for download off the iTunes' pre-order for, Rockness A.P. In addition to Kuniva, the 14 track LP includes guest features from Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, M.O.P., Ron Browz, Ras Kass, and more. The album, which is due out Sept 22, is now available for pre-order on CD as well as through the digital retailer of your choice via Digital Déjà Vu Records.

Rapper Billionell Will Exceed Expectations With His New Song "GOING UP"

Listen To "GOING UP" Now

New York, New York (September 6, 2017) - Norfolk, Virginia rap artist, Billionell drops the celebratory track "GOING UP." Its vibe offers a balance of old and new school trap music. The forward thrust of "GOING UP" is a heavily layered, addicting beat. Billionell's catchphrase "GOING UP" is the perfect soundbite for a potential hit record.

Lyrically, the track references Billionell's upward trajectory, capitalizing on his grind. "GOING UP" boasts stimulating lyrics that you will be humming on your ride home. Billionell said in an interview, "I don't watch it happen, I make it happen" and this track can attest to the fact that Billionell is making it happen. Coming up in the streets of Norfolk from a single parent home, Billionell is a proud self-made artist who put himself in this position. He's hot with some reputable collaborations, having worked with several multi-platinum producers and a track featuring Shy Glizzy. He's also slowly developing his acting skills. In 2014, he appeared in 808 The Movie with Yung Joc and Zaytoven.

Although the bulk of Billionell's music is hip-hop inspired, he refuses to be categorized. "GOING UP" is a trap anthem, however his creativity derives from many influences. He found his inspiration to become a musician on tours. Two tours in Iraq, and one in Korea during his time as a soldier for the United States military. Those experiences expanded his mind and created his larger than life persona. Listen to Billionell celebrate his progress on "GOING UP" and catch him wildin' out on social media.
