Los Angeles-based vocalist and songwriter No/Me returns with her new single "Savior" out today on Republic Records—listen and share HERE!

A moody and mesmerizing anthem with empowering lyrics, "Savior" follows No/Me's debut single "
Consistent," which EARMILK hailed as a "bold and anthemic future-pop debut." The song premiered on the FIFA 19 soundtrack, among the likes of Childish Gambino, Gorillaz, Logic, Billie Eilish and more.

Of the inspiration behind "Savior," No/Me says, "'Savior' is all about empowerment. I feel like we—especially women—are taught to rely on others to attain happiness. We're told we need a perfect partner to in order to feel fulfilled, we need to kiss up to powerful businessmen in order to get our dream jobs—fuck that. I really believe that if you set your mind to something you can reach your goal without leaning on others. Community is important, but in order to be able to contribute, we need to be strong and take care of ourselves so we can give our best."

L.A. native No/Me's sound is a blend of her eclectic influences, from early-'90s alt-rock to the quirky anti-folk of Regina Spektor to Israeli music. With Hebrew as her first language, her lyrics reveal a raw but poetic sensibility closely shaped by her upbringing. Having a deep-rooted mission to use her music as a vehicle for positive change, No/Me's stage name is her Hebrew name and meant to signify the transparent nature of her songwriting. She aims to spark that change on the most personal level. "Consistent" and "Savior" set the stage for more new music from No/Me in 2019.

#submission by @MoleculesBX • @DiceBX • @LegionSmash The Legion Return with First LP in 25 Years! | Debut Visuals for "1980 Something"

Bronx rap trio The Legion take us back to "1980 Something" in their new video that depicts the good, the bad, and the ugly from that decade including Ronald Reagan's flawed drug war and larger-than-life parties.

To capture the vibe of New York City (and the country at large) in the '80s, the Double Dog Films crew did a stellar job of blending footage from that era with shots of The Legion posted up in the BX. As Molecules, DiceMan, and Chucky Smash pass the mic back and forth throughout the track, you see shots of Reagan, drug busts, live performances, wild outfits, and so much more that encapsulated that time period.

What's more, you get to witness the energy and passion of the three emcees of The Legion. They can't help but grin as they spit their bars at the camera and seamlessly move from one member's raps to the next. The "1980 Something" video is a highly engaging and entertaining glimpse of what The Legion has in store on their new album, Three The Bronx Way. While you wait for that release, be sure to keep their debut LP, Theme + Echo = Krill, in rotation—an album that remains as dope today as it was back in '94.

Check out the visuals for "1980 Something," and mark your calendars for the release of Three The Bronx Way, due out Feb 01 through all major DSPs and vinyl via Legion Records, distributed by Fat Beats.

"Beats By Gobby 2"

out 14th February 2019 on

UNO NYC

Watch video for
"Trunks Nett" here

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eIAfrCFV_w

Gobby is from Boston, Massachusetts. After barely graduating high school by 0.5 percent on a required history test, he went to Roxbury Community College for accounting for like a semester while dishwashing at Panera. That was wack as hell so then he went to NYC to further pursue a dishwashing career, while DJing and sometimes performing live music and drawing. His ears haven't stopped ringing in a decade and his ear doctor recommended he get hearing aids - he's still working on that and getting insurance and stuff. Still, that hasn't stopped him from making Beats by Gobby 2, the essential soundtrack to play to your pet geckos in the morning or to practice tricks on your Tech Deck.

Lead single Trunks Nett sounds like a carousel ride after drinking above the legal limit of Monster energies and cutting loose a little too much. The video was directed by
Adult Swim and Thrasher-approved Tony Derosa of Fancy Lad, blending in real fingerboard tricks and fantasy Geico footage - the video gives you a sneak peek into Gobby's weird and wonderful world.
Gobby's beats slap, which is probably why he's landed production credits for Mykki Blanco (Gay Dog Food beats are found on the "legal" version of the release in place of the bootlegs), James K, and UNO's Seth. Gobby started making clothes recently with Fun House and scored music for New York's Gauntlett Cheng. Oh, he also happened to make 20 beautiful blue BBG22 hats too so
get them while they last!

You'll probably catch Gobby wearing one at a bar deep in Chinatown trying to get better at pinball or at home writing orchestral arrangements. Beats by Gobby 2 is the next chapter of his original Beats by Gobby release on UNO, following the No Mercy Bad Poet release on DFA and his last effort El Honko Mixed on HOSS. Weaving plunderfonics, instrumental hip-hop, wonky, and experimental trap in with a series of ever changing and enveloping beats, this may be Gobby's most eclectic yet (if that wasn't already possible). It's everyone's favourite sequel.

#Submission by @TheSoundOfLasso Signs w/ Mello Music Group | Producer, Multi-Instrumentalist, Artist

The Lasso Signs w/ MMG
+ New Single
Quaddro

"Lasso's appeal is that he's a pioneer. Case in point, the producer hosted about a dozen other producers in a one-of-a-kind live collaborative performance of Terry Riley's 'In C,' transforming the composition into a bevy of beat-making at the Museum of Contemporary Art."

-Phoenix New Times
THE LASSO

Mello Music Group's newest artist, The Lasso, was born to be a musician. The Lasso is a veteran of musicality and engineering, having produced and recorded hundreds of records over the span of his career including helming the behind the scenes work on Lando Chill's releases. Now, we're extremely pleased to introduce The Lasso in his own light, showcasing not only his talents for original production, but his unique approach to music. From hip-hop influenced psychedelia to ethereal phase music, synthed-out space funk and loft freak folk, The Lasso's sound is unlike any other.

To introduce the newest producer on the Mello Music Group roster, we want to share a new, free single - Quaddro. "I wanted my introduction to MMG to be a blend of my favorite elements of vinyl culture but with all original instrumentation. A pastiche of 70s film scores and library records, but with the feel of a modern beat tape, an aural short film," says The Lasso.
