#Smarterhiphop submission by @Kreptplaydirty announce release of '7 DAYS' and '7 NIGHTS' mixtapes ft. STORMZY, J-HUS, SKEPTA and more

KREPT & KONAN ANNOUNCE THE SIMULTANEOUS RELEASE OF MIXTAPES 7 DAYS AND 7 NIGHTS

FEATURING GUEST APPEARANCES FROM STORMZY, J-HUS, SKEPTA AND MORE

PRE-ORDER LIVE NOW

25th September 2017, London UK - Pioneering UK rappers KREPT & KONAN today announce the simultaneous release of mixtapes 7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS. Available for pre-order now, both 7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS will be released via Virgin EMI on 20th October.

A UK first (no other British artist has released two mixtapes on the same day), 7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS reflect the two sides of KREPT & KONAN's signature sound. While 7 DAYS boasts harder edged, grittier club tracks and features from J Hus, Skepta, Stormzy, Abra Cadabra and more; 7 NIGHTS showcases smoother, R n' B inflected, sultry jams and guest spots from Jhene Aiko, Hudson East and Tory Lanez. The first cuts to be lifted from the mixtapes will be 'For Me' (from 7 NIGHTS) and 'Wo Wo Wo' (from 7 DAYS) – both set to be released simultaneously this Friday, 29thSeptember.

"We knew we wanted to create something special that served our fans who discovered us from Tsunami to Redrum to Young Kingz to The Long Way Home. We wanted to make music that covered the full spectrum of our sound. We knew we wanted the bangers and the jams, and we ended up with enough tracks that we could put out two mixtapes with different vibes." – KREPT & KONAN

The release of 7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS signals a welcome return for the trailblazing duo whose ongoing critical acclaim and chart success has helped paved the way for the likes of J-Hus, Kojo Funds, Abra Cadbra, Yungen, Mo Stack and Section Boys (to name a few). From the 2013 release of their Young Kingz mixtape which shot into the top 20 of the Official UK album charts (earning them a world record for the Highest-Charting UK album by an Unsigned Act), through to the 2015 release of their debut album The Long Way Home (which became the highest charting British Rap album in UK chart history after debuting at no. 2 in the official UK album charts), KREPT & KONAN have repeatedly broken records while consistently breaking ground.

Since the release the critically acclaimed The Long Way Home, KREPT & KONAN have hit the road extensively, embarking on a sold out headline UK tour and a pan European double headline tour with Ty Dolla $ign, and performing at multiple festivals (including, most recently, V Festival 2017). All in addition to featuring on the Mobo Award winning remix of Abra Cadabra's 'Robbery' and MoStack's 'Liar Liar' remix alongside J Hus.

7 DAYS and 7 NIGHTS will be available to stream and download across multiple platforms on 20th October.

#Smarterhiphop submission by @Lu_KaYne and New Video "Never Stop

Lu Kane3

Spotlight on Lu' KaYne and New Video "Never Stop"

Lu Kane

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Hilltop Entertainment recording artist Lu KaYne is here with his latest video "Never Stop". Lu KaYne has been breaking into the music industry by sticking to his own style, which you can easily tell comes from the East Coast. His sound is unlike the norm of what you see in today's music artists, which is to be expected from an artist that got into music at the tender age of 11. Luckily, he was surrounded by bands and was influenced by his father, whom played several instruments. He started to release tapes at a very young age and maintains his goal; which is to paint his vision through lyrics while taking his audience on a musical journey while embracing his music. "Never Stop" continues the mission, by giving props to everything that made him what he is; he gives a shout out to his hood, his struggles, but maintains a positive message; which is to "Never Stop" chasing your goals and dreams. "Never Stop" is directed by The Kuntry Club and the visual matches the feel and flow of the record, a 100% perfect combination of audio and visual. Press play and check it out for yourself.

Currently Lu KaYne is on tour with The OLU Brand.

Upcoming tour dates:
Tuskegee University: TBA
Alabama State University-10/10
Tennessee State University-10/14
Kennesaw State University-10/21
Magic City Classic- 10/27-10/29

#Smarterhiphop submission by @chaptabois drop new single and video for KASH

Chaptabois drop new EP single and video for KASH

Chaptabois are a forward thinking duo of two brothers, Snypa and Shankanites, who are known for their dynamic skills and hard hitting sound in the underground hip hop scene of Houston, Texas. With their depth of production and strong lyrical ability, Chaptabois also pride themselves on providing a positive viewpoint in contrast to a lot of the hip hop spewed forth by artists today.

New single Kash may seem like another does of classic hip hop on the surface, but it's a closer look at why there's such a capitalist obsession for money, while for so many it's simply the only answer to overcoming life or death scenarios such as living in poverty. Money brings a certain level of independence and can open up a world of opportunity for those fortunate to have enough of it. As a result it's the driving factor that's forced upon us to work hard to attain the material things we may want in life.

You may not know it but it's likely you've heard something from the Chaptabois cannon as their music has featured in TV series such as Power, Training Day and Lethal Weapon while landing placements across HBO, MTV, VH1, BET, E, Starz, Oxygen, Fuel, ESPN, NFL Network, MLB, TV-ONE, as well spots across Channel 7 in Australia and prime time TV in Canada.

While currently spreading the word for their brand new EP 'Momma We Made ItSnypa says of the duo's mission statement "Chaptabois use their talent and platform to be a voice for the underdogs. For the ones who have a will to succeed, but may not have the proper guidance and resources to make it happen. We try to bring a sense of champion to our listeners. To say strive to become the best you can be and never be afraid to be you."

'Momma We Made It' EP feat. the single Kash is out now via all good digital retailers
